Official Bio

Dr. Ronald Seatter is a registered psychologist in Ontario (BA, University of Alberta '92; MA Psychology, '98 & Ph.D., Biola University, Los Angeles, CA '01).

He has an extensive background in health psychology and has worked in outpatient and inpatient hospital settings, rehabilitation clinics and private practice (i.e., University of Southern California and the Infectious Disease Clinic at the Ottawa Hospital - General Campus.)

He specializes in helping individuals to cope with chronic illness, return to work issues, relationship difficulties, trauma, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety.

Dr. Seatter conducts independent medical/legal assessments and treatment planning for WSIB, Motor Vehicle Insurance Companies, Law Firms, Vocational Rehabilitation Firms, Private Companies and Individuals, Government Agencies, Long-term Disability Insurance Companies and Police Services.

He has also given numerous presentations and seminars to professional conferences, government agencies, businesses, and community organizations on topics including Stress in the Workplace, Everyday With Chronic Pain, and Coping with Loneliness.

He is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Ontario Psychology Association, The Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, The American Psychological Association, The Canadian Pain Society and The Canadian Psychological Association.

Unofficial Bio

Dr. Seatter is a lapsed vegetarian with a penchant for clubhouse sandwiches.

He writes poetry that will never rhyme.

He is the dad of two girls (a singer and a hockey player).

His wife thinks he has an addiction to buying power tools.

He practices mindfulness strategies daily but is often distracted.
